Kublai Mellan’s collection

          In the place of our venue, I found out, that some of the collection of Kublai mellan is paintings, sculpture, photos and etc. examples of his collection are abstract paintings, face using nails, melted plastic, and waste material and etc.

          The concept of the artist is to make himself popular in the field of art and to enhance people that we can do art without using expensive things, because some of his works are made up of waste material, so I can say that we can do artifacts with the use of waste material.

         The visual element that you can see in the sculpture, paintings, etc. are lines, colors, etc.example of lines are vertical horizontal, diagonal, curve and etc. colors are black, green, yellow, red, violet and other colors.

         The collections of Kublai Mellan’s is varied to one another, they are different in terms of colors and formations, but usually, some of his works are abstract.

         I found out that some of his collection is made up of waste material, I don’t know what  is he trying to project, but the only thing I learned is we can make artifacts using those waste material.

                                       DAVAO MUSEUM

          The artifacts that you can find in the museum are sculpture, carving, paintings, etc.example of sculpture are the jar, basket, fish trap, tea pot and etc. One of the paintings that I seen in the museum is the bahay kubo. There is lot of things I found there. In the 2^nd floor of that building I saw a small replica of Spanish ship and all things in that room are old things that our ancestors being use.

          The artifact that gives a big impact on me is the dance of labi, according to them the word labi means superior. The dance of labi is a ritual that they perform every engaging of lovers in their tribe.

           This ritual is being performed by one male and one female. The ritual invites the spirit of Mother Nature to bless the couple in their existence. This ritual is an old tradition performed by our ancestor as norms of old times. This illustration brought a view that people in old times has a good affinity in Mother Nature.

           The collection of Davao Museum are not varied, all of that things is being use by our ancestor. In this period, it is rare to find those things, because of modernity.

Cause of Floods

Floods is the current problems of our country.In Cagayan city and Illigan province,hundreds of people died 

because of floods.This phenomenon may occur anytime.

According to the experts one of the main causes of this floods is to much cutting trees.Some of the rural areas are converted into buildings, houses and etc.there are few Forrest remains.Because of to much cutting trees the 

excess water cannot be absorb.Some of the minor causes of floods is improper segregation of waste.According to the reporter, some of the garbage is block the drainage,so the water remain stagnant,and it result into floods.

Inorder to prevent this kind of circumstance,we must to clean our drainage everyday,proper segregaton of waste and also take good care of our environment.

Parts of Trees

Trees is consist of several parts.It is made up of roots,stem,bark,branches,leaves and fruits.Every part of the tree   has their own function.

The main function of roots is to absorb minerals in the soil and for anchorage in the soil.Stem is one who holds the branches and where the bark is bound.The bark is one that protects the stem for the pest that makes it not susceptible.Branches is one that support\upholds the leaves.Leaves also plays an important role for making foods,it converts solar energy into chemical energy.fruits also have a great function,it often use for propagation.

Trees plays an important role in our ecosystem it provides foods, breath and habitat for living organism.It also help to prevent floods,landslide and other natural calamity.For me as an agriculturist,we must to prevent excessive cutting trees,because we are the one that can benefits in this.

"Classification of Pollination"

Pollination is process which transfer of pollen from stamen to the stigma of the flower.There are two types of pollination,self-pollination and cross-pollination.

Self-pollination can make sure that the species of the plant would not go into extinction as two different plants are not needed to produce.If two different s plants of the same species are required then there is less chance of pollination happening that often.In other words less offspring produce in cross pollination so there is other chance of extinction,but plants using self pollination have nothing to fear.They can produce offspring in their own using one parent. The offspring produce are genetically identical to the parent so that means if the parent plant can survive in a certain habitat then the offspring will also surely be able to survive in the same habitat.                              

Cross pollination occurs when the two flowers involved are from different plants rather then from the same one. Two flowers from different plants mean that different set of genes are involved. It also very important to remember that the two different flowers involved must be of the same species.

So you can also define it in another way.Cross-pollination occurs when the anther and the stigma are in  flower of different plant of the same species.

therefore i conclude that pollination is a difficult process, it has several ways to pollinates.

"ECOSYSTEM"

Ecosystem is a place where living organism and non-living organism exist.This organism helping each other in order to survive.
Some of the organism provides foods which is necessary for survival.an ecosystem is a complex set of relationship among living resources,habitat and residents of an area.It includes plants,trees,animals,birds,micro organism,soil,water and people.
Ecosystem vary greatly in size and elements that make them up,but each is a function unit of nature.Everything that lives in ecosystem is dependent on other species and elements that are also part of ecological community.If one part of ecosystem is damage or disappear,it has an impact of everything else.
When an ecosystem is healthy,scientist say it is sustainable.This means that all the elements are in balance and capable of producing themselves.there is usually biodiversity,meaning there are a variety of living organism and species in the environment.I found out that we must to take care of our ecosystem.
